Simpliq is a small Australian business.

The Bathroom Bench came out of watching our family's house slowly fill up with 'mobility aids' and equipment.

Someone in the family got sick, and the practical things arrived - hand rails, a shower seat, a ramp at the front door, etc. All were highly useful, but it was really grim. Nobody truly wanted it, but the equipment was required for daily movement.

The shower seat was the part that bothered me in particular. It did its job but it looked like it had been wheeled in from a hospital. I went looking for a nicer one, but I couldn't find anything. So we made the best thing that we could.

The Bathroom Bench was made as something you'd choose, not one you're handed.
